Captains Log – November 25th…..yes I am still attempting to get caught up here with adding 2015 Weddings to the blog. Haha!
Jim and Fanta got married at the beautiful Waterfront Inn located in The Villages the day following Thanksgiving. Yes I would rather be shooting a wedding than fighting the Black Friday crowds…..and come on….who wouldn’t. Usually I get to meet my clients and discuss their wedding day way before the day comes. This time was a bit different as Jim and Fanta were from Michigan and getting married here in Florida. They only requested me for 4 hours as their wedding was a small intimate affair but arriving an hour early allowed me to get a few more details than was originally requested. When I arrived I found the groom….finally introducing myself face to face after many calls and emails….shook hands…and got to work. The bride had already slipped into her dress by the time I knocked on her bridal quarters doors…but I managed to squeeze in a few prep shots which I loved. They had a great late afternoon ceremony, complete with a rainbow , followed by a wonderful dinner, dancing, and one of the funniest best man speeches I’ve had ever heard. Oh, and the bride’s mother had some great incognito cellphone videography skills throughout the entire ceremony…but I managed to catch her!
