Lake Hiawatha Preserve wedding Clermont FL

Sometimes the smallest of weddings are the ones that are the most heartfelt and intimate.

Guy and Shellesa contacted me only a few weeks before their wedding date of Jan. 2nd 2016.  They had everything planned but only remaining item left was the right photographer to document their special wedding day.  Us wedding photographers sometimes get unusual request, and most of the time our job is to remind clients that some requests just aren’t realistic or may turn out completely different than what some brides and grooms invision.  “Thanks Pinterest”.

Guy and Lesa had a special request to incorporate their beloved Harley Davidson motorcycle into their bridal portraits.  On our initial conversation I tried to convey the reality and hurdles of incorporating a 700lb vehicle into their wedding day portraits.  After ending our phone call I figured that I may have sounded not so keen about taking on their vision.  It wasn’t going to be easy, but I figured someone was going to try and pull it off….and it might as well be me.  I immediately called them back and explained I know motorcycles, I was a former rider and owner, we just need to find the right spot that wasn’t a busy parking lot and plan accordingly.   Their bridal portraits were scheduled to happen around noon time on a Saturday afternoon and finding a beautiful location away from the hustle and bustle of a Saturday afternoon wasn’t ideal….but I was bound and determined to make it work.

Their small wedding ceremony consisting of only the closest friends and family took place at New Jacobs Chapel in downtown Clermont.  Immediately following their ceremony the wedding party went to the local Texas Roadhouse (one of their favorite restaurants) for a quick cake cutting and lunch, while Guy, Shellesa, my second photographer Wesley and I went to local Lake Hiawatha Preserve for a few bridal portraits and eventually ended on Highway 27 South for one last shot moving portrait.    Special thanks to Wesley Finch of Finch Photography for coming along and second shooting some awesome images!

Enjoy!
